Is weight lifting safe? |

Like any form of exercise,
it is important for an individual to recognize his or her own
personal limitations. Our staff will help you determine appropriate
weight levels and the intensity of your workout. Weight lifting
also requires slow and controlled movement! Thus greatly reducing
your chance of injury.

Is it ok for people who suffer
from illness or injury to lift weights? |
|
|
This depends upon the type
of illness or injury. We have several members with mild to moderate
health conditions that actually improve their ability to exercise,
and lessen the symptoms of their particular ailment. Regular
weight bearing exercise is often recommended by physicians. If
illness and/or injury are a concern, you should ALWAYS consult
with and get approval from your doctor.

I want to lift weights, but
I want to stay 'feminine!' |
|
|
Unless your fitness goal is
to become a bodybuilder something that takes months / years,
lots of food, and lots of dietary supplements to accomplish you
will not 'bulk' up. You will simply enjoy burning fat and building
muscle that will only add definition and strength.

Your competition says that
weight stack machines are complicated to use. |
|

The only adjustment you will
make to our machines is setting your weight with a small pin...Easy!
Likewise, if you can remember a 10-digit phone number, you will
be able to remember your weight settings...Easy! Remember, you
are an individual! You need to be able to customize YOUR workout
to fit YOUR needs!

Do you offer childcare? |
|
|
No. The time that you workout
is a time for YOU! A time for you to concentrate on your health
and personal well-being, and to interact with other adult women.

6. |
Do you offer classes such as
yoga or aerobics? |
|
|
Currently we do not, however,
we do offer periodic challenges that greatly enhance the workout.
These challenges often include a more strenuous weight lifting
regiment, nutritional guidelines, and guest speakers. We also
offer unlimited personal training that encourages the use of
free weights, and other exercise outside the normal 29-minute
workout.

7. |
How do you handle billing? |
|
|
Payment in full is handled directly through the
Club. Monthly billing is automatic withdrawal from your checking
account, debit card, or credit card.

8. |
Do I have to sign a contract? |
|
|
Yes, however, we have several
options to choose from: Annual, 3 or 6 months, and month to month.
We recommend the annual agreement for 3 reasons: 1. Fitness is
a lifetime commitment to your self. The time it takes to formulate
such a commitment is 1 year at the very least. 2. It is a proven
fact that people are much more committed to a routine when there
is a financial obligation at stake. 3. It is the least expensive
option.

Do you track my progress? Weight,
inches, etc? |
|
|
Yes. Though we do not subject
anyone to mandatory weigh-ins and measurements we strongly encourage
you to track your progress as a motivating element to your workout.

10. |
Is it safe to workout everyday? |
|
|
Yes. Though we recommend every
other day to allow your muscles a day of rest in-between workouts.
If working out everyday is what'cha want, however, you are always
welcome to do so under the recommendation that you lift less
weight, and focus more so on aerobic / cardio exercise.

11. |
I'm SORE! |
|
|
A little muscle soreness is
ok! Don't be afraid if you experience some discomfort during
and after your workout especially if you are new to lifting,
or have not lifted weights in a long time. The discomfort will
decline within a few weeks, and will inspire you to gradually
increase the intensity of your workout.

I want to workout at a club,
but I'm really self conscious |

Not to worry! Contours is for
all women! All shapes and sizes all ages 13+, all fitness levels!
You do not need a wardrobe of trendy workout clothes just something
to sweat in and a pair of comfortable running shoes. Our equipment
and workout have been designed for ease of use, yet are strenuous
enough for the experienced. Check

What kind of amenities do you
provide? |

Weight stacks, free weights,
cardio bikes, exercise balls, stretch bands, unlimited coaching
& support, ab/stretch area, progress tracking, pro-shop /
retail, changing room, bathroom, clean environment, well trained
staff, weight loss programs. Certified Personal Training available.
Most major credit cards.

Community involvement? |
|

We use locally owned, or Florida
owned businesses whenever possible. We also proudly
donate memberships to charitable organizations (too many to name
here) such as the Heritage House.

Do you offer personal training? |
|
|
Yes, 2 types:
1. Regular charter memberships
include up to 5 sessions of personal training that include: Goal
setting and objectives, nutrition, weight machine form and technique,
and cardio exercise. Members may also re-evaluate all of the
above, receive further advice and support, and learn new basic
exercises to change up a routine with a personal trainer at anytime
and for FREE.
2. We also offer individual
personal training packages at a nominal price. Though we recommend
three 1hr session blocks to accommodate a full body workout,
we also offer single 1hr sessions. Sessions are one-on-one with
a trainer who will work with you to maximize your entire workout
potential and/or specifically target the areas you request. You
will also be trained in the use free weights and core (balance)
techniques.

What is your weight loss program
all about? |
|
|
The key to health and fitness
is a clear objective and a commitment to achieving that objective.
Together we will identify exactly what your goals are and exactly
what you need to do to reach them. That said, we offer a couple
of different weight loss programs that focus on a healthy lifestyle
rather than dieting! They do not require that you purchase special
supplements or food products, and they are family friendly. The
only thing required is a commitment from you to follow the plan
as prescribed and exercise 3 times per week for at least 30 minutes.

I have joined gyms and/or weight
loss programs in the past only to fall off the program, lose
interest, and stop going. Do you do anything to motivate your
members? |

First of all, worrying about
what happened to you in the past won't solve your problem now.
Contours Express has all the tools you need to succeed
well-trained staff that provide support and advice, equipment,
weight loss programs that actually work, measurement and tracking
systems, and certified personal trainers available
. We
can't eat or exercise for you, but we will use the above tools
to show you that eating healthy and exercising can be an enjoyable
experience despite hard work and patience.
